Carl and Ginger are just a few weeks apart, born January 2019 and both 50/50 Boston Terrier / French Bulldogs. Carl came from Indiana and Ginger from Ohio. Ginger’s breeder wanted Carl for her breeding program but we bought him before she could!

Carl takes more after his Boston genes. He’s extremely athletic and can run for hours or leap over staircases. His favorite activity is playing, and he loves played with his 7 year old boy! But he does know the boundaries of our farm and knows better than to run down the road or into the woods.

Ginger takes more after her French Bulldog genes. While her energy and play drive is higher than most other french bulldogs, she isn’t able to turn as quickly as Carl (although she does outrun him on straight-aways) and she certainly cannot jump as well. She’s very non-competitive, letting Carl be first at nearly everything. She enjoys laying across the back of the sofa like a cat, snuggling her adopted cat “son” and sitting on laps for attention. She has earned the nickname “Piggle” or “Pig Pig” because she snorts like one, and loves to wallow in the mud at every opportunity. Did I mention she’s a porker too?! (It’s all solid muscle).

Both dogs enjoy water, and snow, and get along with ALL the farm critters including the chickens.

Carl and Ginger were named after Erik’s favorite family YouTubers “Carl and Jinger”.

Ginger is a blue brindle, and Carl is a Pie-bald brown merle brindle
